Sustalux is the result of a life-long reverance for fashion & it's makers, a shopping addiction, and the joy that floods a room when someone finds their new favorite piece. We focus on vintage because there is a quality and authenticity to each piece that you can't often find these days. Many of our garments come from an era when each piece was envisioned and constructed by the designers themselves along with a team of patternmakers and seamstresses - not like the machine-made designer apparel of today. At Sustalux, we have a tremendous respect for their work and we take great pleasure in sharing their visions of the past with the fashionably concious of today.
* Please note that our focus is on women's clothing, shoes, and accessories. Although we offer glorious neckties and a few random items for men and children, we are unable to offer a full line of mens or children's items at this time. However, due to increasing demand, we may set up a 2-day Mens' Sale each month and a 1-day Kid's Sale each month. Both would take place online and at a physical location in the Seattle area. What we do:
We treasure hunt night and day for the *special* pieces that our clients and customers can't live without! Most people can't stand the chaos of sale racks and thrift stores; most of those who do enjoy 'the hunt' simply don't have time to shop! - At Sustalux, our job is to shop. It's a labor of love; I litterally spend 14-15 hours per day sorting through sale racks, estate lots, and 2nd hand stores galore, just to bring you the best of past and present!

Where does everything come from?:
Think about all of the gifts you've received, or the cute outfits you bought that sat in your closet for ages... That high-waisted skirt was to die for but just a little too tight; the purse and belt were really expensive but they weren't quite "you". - THAT's the stuff that we're out snatching up: pristine or barely worn designer and New Old Stock pieces that are full of life and just begging to be worn!
The Majority of our items are professionally dry cleaned or laundered by an EnviroStars-rated company before being posted for sale.

Sustalux is not about overcharging you for designer labels and calling it "fashion". -There are plenty of other websites that can help you with that. We want our Closet Candy to be enjoyed by all, so we've priced everything with budgets in mind. Anyone who truely appreciates fashion will tell you that "Luxury" is not synonomus with "Expensive". Luckily, people like Rachel Zoe are showing the world that you can wear $600 shoes with a $15 vintage dress, or spice up a $3K (or $30) outfit with 2nd hand jewelry and accessories. So go forth and shop without guilt! Our prices are low, we promise.

We are more concerned about the quality of our garments than we are about their labels. We are not interested in posting garments or accessories that don't have a full life ahead of them. We look for high-quality, stylish pieces -from any era- that are functional and wearable today.
